Kirk’s diving career began in 1984 in Saskatchewan, since he has evolved into one of the most innovative and world-renowned leaders in the diving industry. In 2016 he won the DAN/Rolex Diver of the Year Award.

Kirk is the Founder & President of Performance Freediving International (PFI), Performance Advisor for the Liminal Collective, and he is the freediving trainer for the cast and crew of Avatar 2 and Avatar 3. Kirk also previously trained actors on Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and Suicide Squad.

He is a water baby turned life guard, swim instructor, recreational instructor trainer, technical instructor trainer, and freediving instructor trainer - he literally wrote the book on freediving education. He's been diving almost everywhere worthwhile, and some places not so worthwhile.

When not organizing EDSBC expeditions in his free time, Kirk can be found with his daughter, whom he is extremely proud of. EDSBC would not exist without Kirk Krack, and we’re extremely proud to be working alongside him to discover the unknown.
