Josh grew up a water rat in land-locked Alberta, and once he moved to the west coast of Canada it opened up a whole new world for him. He started diving in Victoria, BC in 2014 and since then has been diving all over the Salish Sea, the Caribbean, and Central America.

 

He’s an entrepreneur, Divemaster, commercial vessel skipper, and an advocate for keeping our coast clean. Through his company Discovery West Adventures, he runs whale-watching and eco tours on the east coast of Vancouver Island. Josh knows the area and local marine life like no other, and is always subconsciously scouting new dive sites when he’s on the water with tours. 

 

Josh founded the Coastal Cleanup Initiative, a mission focused on cleaning up the beaches around Campbell River, BC, and through this has helped protect and preserve the local environment and inspire others to join. 

 

He has a profound interest in underwater exploration, and is always ready to jump in and explore, whether that’s in his SeaTux drysuit for scuba or wetsuit for freediving.
