Chris, a carpenter by trade, began his diving journey in 2008 with a PADI scuba certification in Tahiti. In 2016, he embarked on his first course with Performance Freediving International (PFI). This eventually led him down the path to becoming an Intermediate PFI instructor, training students at the professional and recreational levels within depths of 40m.

In 2017 Chris founded Bottom Dwellers Freediving, and created Bottom Dwellers’ Freedive-Harvesting program out of his passion to conserve our local aquatic ecosystems in light of the resurgence in popularity of freedive spearfishing.

His favourite thing about being underwater is "the quiet the mind finds while it’s hyper-focused on the present" during a dive on breath-hold. He’s excited to explore the endless underwater playground of Canada, and thinks we'll find Bigfoot on one of our EDSBC expeditions.
